| Tell Us About Your Life Since Graduation: | After HS, I went to Simpson College and studied Math and German. I was able to study abroad in Schorndorf, Germany in the Spring of 2001. After I graduated from Simpson, I moved to South Dakota while my husband finished school at SDSMT and I worked at Conseco, now GE Capital in Accounting. We moved back to Iowa (Hiawatha)in 2004 and I worked at GE Captial in Cedar Rapids and Hamilton College, now Kaplan University in Financial Aid. I got married in Sept. 2005 and bought a house in Atkins in 2006. I finished my Masters in Secondary Ed and I taught at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids for 8 years before teaching in my home district, Benton Community. I currently teach 8th and 9th grade math in Van Horne. We have two daughters, Ellie who was born in 2012 and Maryn in 2014. |
